44MM DENSE MESH STOPS POPPING EMBERS, NOT THE VIEW The 44mm steel mesh is sized to catch the embers a wood fire throws while leaving the flames fully visible, and the 14mm wrought iron frame with 414mm flat steel bars holds that mesh taut so it will not ripple or bow with repeated use. Works in front of woodburning, gas and electric fireplaces as a supplemental spark guard it is not a sealed enclosure, so heat, light and the warmth of the fire still come through.KEEPS DOGS, CATS AND CURIOUS TODDLERS BACK FROM THE HEARTH Owners put this screen up so pets stop nosing the hot glass and so small children stay an arms length from the firebox the dense mesh also keeps ash and embers off rugs and flooring, and it does the job without a plastic baby gate parked in front of your fireplace. It is a freestanding deterrent, not a childproof or lockable gate always keep children and pets supervised while a fire is lit.IT STANDS ON ITS SIDE PANELS SO KEEP THEM ANGLED, NOT FLAT The hinged side panels adjust from about 90 to 180, and they are what holds the screen upright angled well in from flat, the three panels form a wide footprint. The closer you open them toward 180 the more the screen becomes one flat panel and the more it wants to lean forward that single setup detail is behind most wobble reports, so keep the sides angled in. Set it on a level, noncombustible hearth on polished stone or tile, a few selfadhesive felt or silicone pads not included under the panel edges stop it from sliding.MEASURE FIRST 48 ACROSS WHEN FLAT, LESS ONCE YOU ANGLE IT Laid out flat the screen spans 48 W 29 H a 24 arched centre panel plus two 11.8 side panels. Because those side panels angle back to stand the screen up, the width it actually covers across your hearth is less than 48, so measure your fireplace opening, check the flat hearth depth in front of it, and allow clearance on each side before ordering. At 7.58 lb one person can carry it in, reposition it, or fold it away without help.NO ASSEMBLY, FOLDS FLAT FOR THE OFFSEASON AND IT LOOKS THE PART Arrives fully assembled unfold it, set it down, done. The arched top and black powdercoated wrought iron suit modern, minimalist, farmhouse and traditional rooms, indoors in a living room, den or bedroom, and it doubles as the backdrop for a seasonal hearth display. When the heating season ends, fold the panels inward and it stores flat against a wall or in a closet.ABOUT US FEED GARDEN provides quality products and efficient aftersales service. If youre not satisfied with our fireplace screen, please contact us, we will provide you with a solution as soon as possible.
