HIGH EXPANSION COCO COIR BRICK This compressed coco coir block expands into up to 15 gallons up to 72 quarts of loose coconut coir. Once hydrated, coco coir helps loosen dense potting soil. This way, water moves evenly through the mix, instead of sitting in heavy clumps. Coco fiber creates small air spaces for better aeration and holds moisture like tiny sponges. This helps the mix stay damp longer between waterings.ALREADY BUFFERED, READY TO GROW Most coco coir needs a rinse and a calmag soak before its ready for seedlings or hydroponics. This ones already done for you. Buffered Coco Bliss is prerinsed and prebuffered out of the package, so the coir wont hang on to the calcium and magnesium in your plant food. It has a low EC and a pH of 5.5 to 6.3. Theres no rinse needed just expand in water, fluff, and plant.ORGANIC SOIL AMENDMENT FOR ANY MIX Since its already buffered, this is an easy hydroponic growing medium for grow bags and drip systems. Stir this coco fiber into potting soil, garden soil, or raised bed soil to help it hold moisture and stay light. Mix with perlite or vermiculite for seed starting, or try 60 coir and 40 perlite for a fastdraining potting mix. Add extra perlite for succulents, since coir alone stays damp. Use for indoor plants, herbs, vegetables, or as coconut mulch.EASY TO EXPAND STORE Set your buffered coco coir brick in a big tub or wheelbarrow and pour in 8 to 10 gallons of warm water, a little at a time. In 10 to 15 minutes it starts falling apart, so you can break it up by hand. Still clumpy in the middle Add more warm water. Need less coir Take off a chunk and keep the rest dry. You can always use and expand it later. Directions are printed on the packaging.PEATFREE RENEWABLE Every coco block is screened multiple times through a fine filter to remove sand, rocks, and debris, so you get clean, fluffy coir. Coco coir also called coco peat or coco fiber comes from coconut husks, a byproduct of the coconut harvest, and swaps in for peat moss one to one in most mixes. Peat moss is dug from bogs that take thousands of years to form, so choosing coir helps leave those bogs alone. Its also a favorite for worm bins, composting, and mushroom growing.
