Heritage -- one of the few bottles that sells itself off the shelf
Heritage by Guerlain is one of the few bottles that sells itself off the shelf. It belongs to the Heritage line, of which this catalogue carries 2 references -- enough to build a branded facing rather than stocking a single orphan SKU. La Petite Robe Noire and Mon Guerlain brought a much younger buyer into the house, and they now sit on the same shelf as two centuries of classics.
Fragrance Composition
Olfactory family: Spicy Ambery Woody
Top notes: lemon, bergamot, lavender, petitgrain
Heart notes: coriander, pink pepper, carnation, rose, geranium
Base notes: patchouli, sandalwood, cedar, vanilla, tonka bean, oakmoss
On skin it reads as drier and more soapy-fresh than the parfum strength. Lead with that when a shopper asks what it smells like.

Retailer Insights
Heritage targets male buyers 18-55. Moves well through perfumerias, barbershops and department-adjacent retail. Rotates all year, with its strongest weeks once the weather turns. Natural cross-sells from this catalogue: Du Coq, Homme Intense, Habit Rouge, Habit Rouge 2-Piece Set.
Positioning
Give Guerlain a block of its own at eye level. This is a house customers come in naming, and the ones who have to hunt for it often leave and buy it somewhere else. Group the Heritage line in one block -- the flankers sell to the customer who already owns the original. Hold your price near the market: at this level of recognition the customer is buying the name, and a deep discount reads as a reason to doubt the bottle rather than a reason to buy it.
